The Dinosaur Half Marathon is more than half full.
The second annual road-racing event, sponsored by Community Futures, is less than two months away, and already has 162 entries for the 21-kilometre trek. There are also 93 signed up for the new 10 kilometre race and 51 registered for the 5-kilometre fun walk and run.
In all there are 306 entries.
It seems the Mining Centennial here in Drumheller has been grabbing attention across the province. A float in the Calgary Stampede Parade, stories appearing in a number of daily papers, and Lawrence Chrismas’ photo-book, Coal in the Valley spent two weeks of June in the Calgary Herald’s bestsellers list.
