Effie the Dinosaur was up early on a brisk Friday morning, February 2. The sun was shining brightly and she was scared away by her shadow. This means that spring will come a little later this year.

Drumheller is ready to welcome country music star Aaron Pritchett to Badlands Community Facility, along with fellow country musicians Cory Marks and Matt Lang. On February 16, 2024, “The Liquored Up Tour” will come to town with a unique and one of a kind show.
The Mail reached out to Pritchett about what this tour is all about and what ticket holders can expect.
“The Liquored Up Tour was created as a result of the single ‘Liquored Up’ that I recorded in May of 2023, while recording the new album, ‘Demolition’, due out later this year,” explains Pritchett, “I have two versions of the song on the record, one of just me and another with special guests Matt Lang and Cory Marks. After we mixed the single, it was decided we should take our trio out on the road and put on one of the most electric shows, with three high-energy artists that crowds are going to feel they got more than their money’s worth.”
When asked why he decided to come to a small town like Drumheller, and what he will gain from it, Pritchett didn’t hold back.
“I come from a small town and understand what kind of excitement is generated by the residents. Especially the fact that some towns are far from a major centre, which I know can be time-consuming and expensive. It’s very important for me to put on a show by reaching every smaller community that I can and putting on a show that they wouldn’t normally get to see unless the folks went to a larger town or city. What I gain from this is knowing that I was able to give the residents of a small town a chance to spend a few hours away from their lives for something completely different… AND VERY EXCITING!”
The country music artist promises to bring a show that “starts off with a bang, stays burning hot and ends with a BOOM!”
The funds raised from the show will go to support local fundraising project Rails to Trails, where the town has created a pathway system for active transportation throughout the Valley.
This isn’t the first time Pritchett has been involved in making a difference in many communities.
“It’s extremely important for me to lend a hand wherever possible. Over the decades I’ve been in the music industry, there have been many charitable events I have been a part of and it always makes me feel good knowing that I was able to help out for fund-raising events who need it. That will continue for me for as long as I’m able to!”

He had a passion for making sure people were always having fun. He also loved being outside fishing, pheasant hunting and golfing, but what truly made him happy was spending time with his family and friends.
