Cat on pole, saved from cold

charlie-the-cat-1.jpgOne cat gained the attention of at least half of Drumheller when it caused their power to be turned off Friday, October 10, after being stuck up one of the town’s main power-lines for days.
On a chilly Friday morning, ATCO Electric arrived at the power-line on Elgin Road near the industrial park, to the rescue of Charlie the cat, Tyler Wood's kitty.




Crowfoot stays blue

Kevin Sorenson once again fended off all competitors to retain his seat in the Crowfoot constituency.
    As of press time Sorenson had a substantial lead in the count, handily retaining his seat. This is his fourth election, and in each has averaged more than 80 per cent of the popular vote, one of the highest in the country.


Yes campaign mobilizes for plebiscite

Members of the Sportsplex and Community Facility Committee are working towards a yes vote in the plebiscite come November 3.
    Residents of Drumheller are going to the polls to decide whether John Anderson Park is a suitable location for a community facility.
    The plebiscite is in response to indications in the results of a survey of the residents in Drumheller, which showed support for using the site for development.
