Due to the lack of moisture, a fire ban has been issued for the Town of Drumheller effective Monday, July 19 and will remain in effect until conditions improve.
Open burning of any kind, including fire pits, and setting off fireworks is prohibited under the fire ban. However, propane and gas BBQs are permitted.
Burn permits will be issued on a case by case basis.
Western GM Drumheller, through its Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Program, showed their support for the Drumheller Minor Soccer Association and purchased over $600 worth of new soccer nets for the club. It was quite a run for Habs fans, and indeed Canadian hockey, fans to see the Montreal Canadiens head to the Stanley Cup finals, renewing memories of the 1993 run. Alas, it took the Tampa Bay Lightning five games to dash those dreams. This leaves Chris Augey and his trusty sidekick Randy time to brush up on their golf games. For Chris, he says, “after whipping the Leafs, it’s all gravy.”
