Lockdown and search at Drumheller Institution

On June 30, 2014, at about 2:00 p.m. MST, a lockdown was put in palce at Drumheller Institution a multi-level security federal institution, to enable staff members conduct an exceptional search.

The search was ordered to ensure the safety and security of the institution, its staff and inmates. Normal operations will resume as soon as it is considered safe to do so.

Visits have been suspended until the search in completes

The correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is committed to preventing the entry of contraband into its instututions. CSC also works in partnership with the police to take action against those who attempt to introdue contabang into correctional institutions.


Drumheller Outreach School Graduates

A group of students attending the Drumheller Outreach School recently graduated from their studies.

“The staff at Drumheller Outreach School are incredibly proud of the effort and determination demonstrated by the graduates this year.  Each one of these students has contributed to our school community with their positive attitudes and caring personalities.  We wish them all well in their future endeavours.”  Ending the school year together are (l-r) Jenn Paulger (Lead Teacher), Dana Vickers, Kassie Anderson, Nadine Vivian, Felicia Sieppert, Sofia Mancini (Administrative Assistant) and Alec Hammond (Educational Assistant).
