United Conservative Party (UCP) leadership hopeful Danielle Smith was in the Valley Tuesday garnering support for her leadership platform. Dozens of residents came out to hear her message at the Badlands Community Facility on August 2. She feels she is the candidate that can effectively push back against Ottawa, beat NDP leader Rachel Notley in an election and restore freedoms to Albertans. UCP members will elect a new leader on October 6.
