After reviewing the Memorandum of Understanding for the Beaverpond Project Rebuild, located along Michichi Creek approximately ten kilometres east of Morrin, Starland County has decided to go ahead with taking over the license for the structure. Included with the license are six small dam and weir structures along the Michichi Creek system.
It’s only in its first year, but already The Power of Four program, run by Drumheller Family Literacy, is being held up as model for a nation-wide program.
The 2012 Cast Iron Pipe Replacement Program has seen a small delay, however the Town is confident the project will be completed before the frost sets in.
