Classrooms examine political turmoil in Ottawa

Last week was a period in Canadian politics that will be discussed and debated in the coming days and years. The Loyal Opposition exercised the tools of the Canadian Parliamentary system to its fullest potential, and threatened to take power. This was not before the Prime Minister introduced the country to the word ‘prorouge,’ and was granted a reprieve until January 26.

   



Food drive best ever

    In the midst of the flurry of Wednesday night’s food drive, into Captain Bram Pearce’s hands drops a Christmas card from a person who received a food hamper last Christmas. A small gesture of thanks that reaches beyond The Salvation Army, but to the whole community.
    “This is what makes this worthwhile, right?” says Bram.
 


Media arts campus reaches to untapped talent

The media arts industry is now the largest industry in the entertainment sector and developers are screaming for new talent to fuel the demand for animators and designers.
Community Futures Big Country, along with the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce hope to tap into the vast artistic potential that the Drumheller community has to offer, by opening the Media Arts Xcelerator Campus in the valley.
