Dragons fall to Canmore Friday night

The Drumheller Dragons hosted the Canmore Eagles Friday night at Memorial Arena but took an unfortunate loss. 
Despite being outshot 33 to 31, the Canmore Eagles went home with a 5-0 victory.
The Dragons’ goaltender Curtis Skip played his first game in six weeks making 24 saves. 
The Dragons now travel to Okotoks on Saturday to take on the Oilers, Canmore on Monday to face the Eagles again before returning home Friday to host the Whitecourt Wolverines. Game time Friday is 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.

Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for Drumheller and area including Three Hills and Rosebud, for this evening, and expected wind of about 20 km/hr.

  • Town of Drumheller
  • Wheatland Co. near Hwys 569 and 848
  • Wheatland Co. near Rockyford and Rosebud

Be sure to take your time and take extra care when walking or driving in the icy conditions.  Environment Canada expects the freezing rain to end sometime Saturday, with the weather clearing, and an expected high of plus 4. unny with a high of plus 3
