Starting on Tuesday, September 8th 2nd Ave East and 1st Street East between Riverside Drive and 3rd Ave will be closed due to infrastructure work. Local traffic will be permitted, however regular traffic is encouraged to seek an alternate route. No through traffic permitted. Work is expected to last up to 4 days. Frost may damage some crops in frost-prone areas.

Temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark along the foothills and western parts of central Alberta tonight.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.
