Food drive best ever

    In the midst of the flurry of Wednesday night’s food drive, into Captain Bram Pearce’s hands drops a Christmas card from a person who received a food hamper last Christmas. A small gesture of thanks that reaches beyond The Salvation Army, but to the whole community.
    “This is what makes this worthwhile, right?” says Bram.
 



Media arts campus reaches to untapped talent

The media arts industry is now the largest industry in the entertainment sector and developers are screaming for new talent to fuel the demand for animators and designers.
Community Futures Big Country, along with the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce hope to tap into the vast artistic potential that the Drumheller community has to offer, by opening the Media Arts Xcelerator Campus in the valley.


Annual food drive house blitz tonight

salvation-army.jpgThe Salvation Army Food Drive will be out in full force tonight to bring much needed food to families in need this holiday season.
This year, the food bank needs help more than ever says Heather Colberg, the food drive co-ordinator.
“Maybe it’s the economic climate right now, but the food bank really needs help to get a  good chunk of their supplies,” Heather said.
