Pitching in for Earth Day

Earth Day Pic

Calling on all volunteers to help make Drumheller a cleaner place to be on Earth Day.
Earth Day is Friday, April 22. Organizers are hoping to complete a three-hour blitz of the town picking up garbage. Everyone is welcome to come out and do their part for the community.
Organizer Heather Colberg explains they have set up meeting points throughout town where there will be garbage bags and t-shirts for volunteers. All they ask is for people to come out with their work gloves and as many volunteers they can muster.
They invite local residents, businesses, families, student and seniors to come out and pitch in. They are planning to be out and about between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and volunteers can dedicate as much time as they have available to the clean up.
Community and youth groups are also welcome.
For more information, or to volunteer contact Colberg at 403-823-0811 or email heathercolberg@icloud.com., or Tia Leone Briggs at 403-821-1635.
