Two charged after Passion Play B&E, investigation

Two men have been arrested and charged by Drumheller RCMP for break and enter, attempted theft of a motorvehicle, possession of stolen property, and other charges.

On February 20, Drumheller RCMP responded to an early morning break and enter in progress at the Canadian Badlands Passion Play site.

Following a thorough investigation, and with the assistance of some observant members of the public, two males were arrested at a residence in Nacmine and a large amount of stolen property was recovered including tools and equipment stolen from the passion play site, and a red Eton ATV.  The ATV had recently had the VIN removed and related charges are laid. Police are still looking for the owner of the ATV. The suspects had damaged the ignitions on two motor vehicles at the site.

Alvin Lee Sieppert, 28, has been charged with break and enter, two counts of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, wearing a disguise with intent, altering a VIN, possession of stolen property, and seven counts of breaching court imposed release documents.

Allen John Elton McAullay Lampard, 26, charged with break and enter, two counts of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, wearing a disguise with intent, altering a VIN, possession of stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine.

Sieppert was remanded to appear in Drumheller court Friday February 22 and McAullay Lampard was released on a $2,000 no cash own recognizance to appear in Drumheller court Friday March 8.


Two property crimes in 24 hours in Hanna area

Hanna RCMP are investigating two property crimes which occured on February 19.

The first was a vehicle that was broken into that evening, which was parked in the town of Hanna. The suspect or suspects stole miscellaneous hand tools from inside the vehicle.

The second was a suspicious vehicle reported abandoned on February 19 at Township Road 31-2 and Range Road 14-1 (east of Hanna).  The vehicle was subsequently confirmed to be stolen out of Saskatchewan.

Anyone that has information on either of these crimes or may have seen the recovered stolen vehicle being operated in the area recently is asked to contact the Hanna Detachment at (306)854-3393.  Information can also be provided through Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Three charged for stolen vehicle, property offences

Drumheller RCMP have arrested and charged three individuals from Red Deer in relation to a number of stolen vehicles and property thefts.

On February 11, Drumheller RCMP were investigating a number of incidents where vehicles had been stolen.  During the investigation, three people were arrested in possession of two stolen vehicles. Further investigation revealed they were in possession of a number of stolen identity documents, stolen ski equipment, and an iPhone.  They were also charged with multiple breaches of conditions and had multiple outstanding warrants.

Shae-Lee Lynn Phillips, 21, and Kenton Wood, 25,  both of Red Deer, have both been charged with Possession of stolen property over $5,000, Possession of stolen property under $5,000, and failure to comply with a recognizance. Phillips and Wood were remanded into custody after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Drumheller Provincial Court on February 22.

Isaiah Nobel (20) of Red Deer Alta was charged with Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.  Nobel after a judicial hearing was released from custody with conditions and will be appearing in Drumheller Provincial Court on February 22. But on February 13, Isaiah Nobel was arrested in Innisfail after involvement in a robbery and flight from police in a tow truck stolen from Drumheller earlier that morning.

Nobel has been charged with robbery, possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
