The Golden Hills School Division is very pleased to announce the appointment of Dana Alsafi to the position of Associate Principal of Greentree Elementary School commencing the 2020/2021 school year.
Dana holds a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Windsor and has been accepted in a Teaching and Learning Graduate Studies Program.
Dana was hired as a teacher in the Golden Hills School Division at the Drumheller Valley Secondary School in 2018 where she currently teaches Senior High English and English Language Learning. She has a passion for developing school and school-community based programs and is committed to continuing her work in advocating for the mental health and well-being of students, all of which will serve her well in her new administrative role.
She will be taking on a role vacated by Adam Pirie who was appointed to the position of Associate Principal of Crowther Memorial Jr. High School in Strathmore commencing the 2020/2021 school year.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from the University of Alberta and a Professional Master of Education from Queen’s University. Adam brought a variety of teaching experiences with him from Ontario and the United Kingdom when he began as a teacher in Golden Hills
