Who Are You? Lisa-Marie Macdonald

Job title: Junior/Senior High teacher.
How long have you been in Drumheller? I have been teaching here since September! I actually drive down from Airdrie everyday!
Where are you from originally? Ottawa, Ontario.
What do you like best about Drumheller? I really enjoy the small town feel here. The history is also so rich. The museums are very diverse.
What are some favorite places you have travelled? Japan and Thailand were pretty good, but my absolute favourite is Germany. When I was there they had the most amazing Christmas market going on. It was so beautiful.
Any hobbies or interests? I have always loved hockey. I also play violin!
What is you favourite hockey team? I love Toronto Maple Leafs. I am a die hard fan.
If you had a theme song what would it be?  I think Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey, but my students think it should be Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves.
Favourite movie?  My ultimate favorite is The Blind Side but The Great Gatsby and Catch Me If You Can are close seconds. I love Leonardo Dicaprio.
Favourite artist? Adele, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, and Carrie Underwood.  
Favourite concert? My dad takes me to a Carrie Underwod concert every time she comes to Ottawa so that would have to be my favourite.
Favorite TV show? I love documentaries but Ghost Adventures is really good. The show slightly freaks me out but I can’t stop watching.
Favourtie foods?  I love all kinds of Indian food.
What is the motto you live by?
Be a good person, stay positive, and always look for the best in people. Something along those lines!

How long have you been in Drumheller? 47 years.
What do you like best about Drumheller? My family is here and everyone is friendly.
What do you like about your job? My staff and customers.
What do you do in your spare time? Nap.
If you could eat one thing forever, what would it be? A good steak.
What is your dream vehicle? A 1985 Kenworth W900.
Favourite movie? Fast and the Furious or Star Wars.
What would you do if you had $1,000,000? Pay off my debts and take a trip to Disneyland with my family.
Favourite artist? Recently I have been listening to a German singer named Nicole Fisher, she has a really nice voice.
Favourite TV sitcom? Mike and Molly or Two and a Half Men.
Favourite drink? Root Beer and Canadian Club whiskey. You should really try it sometime.
Favourite Colour? Blue and silver.
Favourite grandson? Well I only have one, Ryder. I also have two beautiful granddaughters as well.
What is your favourite thing about being a grandpa? Being able to watch my own kids and their kids grow at the same time.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be? I would be able to freeze time, so I could nap more.
Hopes and dreams? Survive.
If you could do anything in the world what would it be? I would like to do trucking up on the ice roads

How long have you been in Drumheller? I was born in Drumheller but I now live in Morrin.
What do you like best about Drumheller? The small town atmosphere. Everyone here is so friendly!
If you could change one thing about Drumheller what would it be? Nothing!
Describe yourself in three words? Friendly, dedicated and consistent.
Favourite movie? Grease.
Who is your favourite character from Grease? I have always been a fan of Rizzo. I love her!
What is your theme song? Chariots of Fire. I have always liked the melody of the song.
Favourite TV show? The Young and the Restless.
Favourite Book? Still Alice.
Favourite sport? Baseball.
Favoutie Artist? The Guess Who.
What are your hobbies or interests? Being a grandma and volunteering.
What are your favourite things about being a grandma? Not having to be the one that teaches my grandchild what “no” means.
Dreams or goals? Open a successful safety training school in Drumheller.
If you could take a bit out of your life, what would it taste like? Sweet like vinegar!
