Job title:Magician and finishing carpenter.

Dreams or goal:Make “ECHOES...Spirit Theatre” a regular part of the tourism activities in town.

Hobbies and interest:Magic, hiking, all things unusual.

How long have you been in Drumheller? 17 years.

Where are you from?Grew up in Edmonton; moved to Calgary; then moved out here.

What do you like about your job?Large variety of people to meet from every walk of life, all with different stories.

If stranded on an island what tool would you need?Hunting knife.

What’s in your CD player?Parlourmuse - an obscure group that does thematic music.

Favourite book?50 Canadian Men.

Favourite movie? The Lord of the Rings.

If you had a million dollars?Build a new house with attached workshop.

Who would you like to have dinner with dead or alive?George Burns, my grandfather, my cousins in Ottawa.

Words that you live by? Nothing is unforgivable.

If you had a time machine where would you go?1920-1928, the height of Vaudeville and the Speakeasy.

Occupation: Horticulturist. I also volunteer as the chair of Communities in Bloom.

Age: 55.

How long have you lived in the area? Over 20 years. 

Where are you originally from? Queens, New York.

What do you like best about Drumheller? It is safe and friendly.

If you could change one thing about Drumheller what would it be? More community involvement.


What do you like about your job?It’s all about the plants.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Drumheller.

Have you ever made a life changing decision?Yes, to work with my hands instead of office work.

Your life’s best achievement? My son.

What are your strengths?I am good at getting the job done.

Any bad habits? Yes, all of them! 

What makes you happy? When a plan gets together.

Any weaknesses?I can’t say no.

 

If you were granted three wishes, what would they be? There would be no more prejudice, no one would be hungry and everyone had a job they loved.

If you chose one super power, which would it be?  I could split myself in two.

Three words that best describe you? Strong, happy and dependable.

If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 10 year old kid, what advice would you give yourself? Never lose your confidence.

Occupation: Server at Vintage Bar & Grill and supervisor at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Age: 28.

 


 

How long have you lived in the area? I moved to Drumheller in June 2009. 

Where are you originally from?Vancouver, my journey brought me here.

What do you like best about Drumheller?The people.  On average, they go over and above to help out others. I’ve got dozen of stories of things people have done for me that would have been unheard of in the city, from taxi drivers to lawyers! 

If you could change one thing about Drumheller what would it be?I’d build a Tim Horton’s.

What do you like about your job?The locals I get to know and getting to hear the tourists’ stories, it always amazes me how far they travel to come here!

What do you do in your spare time?Bingo and hiking.

What’s the most important decision you have ever made? To make choices in my life that were productive and made me happy, instead of living for other people’s happiness.

What would you like to achieve this year?Pay off all my bills!

What’s your favorite movie and why?  I have so many favourites! But I have to say Grease, Dirty Dancing and Top Gun, they kind of shaped my childhood.

What’s on your playlist?I don’t have an iPod or an MP3 player. I really like a bit of everything, from country all the way to classic and back to house!

Has reading a book ever changed your life? If yes, which one?I read a lot and each book leaves something with me. The Notebook really got to me.

Any unusual habits?I eat my McDonald’s burgers plain with chicken nuggets and french fries all in the bun, I have been doing this since I was a kid!

If you could choose one super power, which would it be?  To be the best person, wife and mother I could be.

If you found a $100 bill what would you do?  If it couldn’t be returned then I would buy some hiking gear which is a new hobby of mine in the Badlands.

If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do?Travel.

If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 10 year old kid, what advice would you give yourself? Smarten up and appreciate the people in your life!
