Who are you? Jessie Berry

Job Title: Customer Service Manager.
Have you lived in Drumheller your whole life? I was born in Victoria, British Columbia but have lived here for nine years.
What’s the one thing you’d change about Drumheller? The fact that there is no mall or Tim Hortons.
What do you do in your spare time? Read.
What are you reading now? The Hawk and the Jewel.
How would you describe yourself in three words? Awesome, awesome, and awesome.
What’s your greatest achievement? Graduating high school and getting my driver’s license.
What are your desert island movies? All three High School Musicals.
If a genie would grant you three wishes, what would they be? Wish there was no poverty, that everyone could go to school, and money for me so I wouldn’t have to work to go to school.
What makes you happy? Ice cream and thunderstorms.
What superpower do you want? I’d want to fly.
Words to live by? Treat others the way you’d want to be treated.
Favourite band? FM Static.
If you were Prime Minister, what would your first act in office be? To make post-secondary education free.
If you won a million dollars? Pay my way through school, and build an orphanage.
What are your pet peeves? When people leave the toilet seat up, don’t clear the time on microwaves when they're done, and when someone assumes something of you.

Job: Public Works Administrative Assistant.
Employer: Town of Drumheller.
What do you like about your job? Interacting with the public, and working with my awesome co-workers! I am one of those lucky ones who loves their job and the people I work with.
Where do you live? Just south of Dalum… middle of nowhere.
How long have you lived there? 4 years.
If not all your life, where do you come from and what brought you to Drumheller? I was born in Chatham, Ontario but grew up in the Strathmore/Calgary area. We moved to Drum to have a better place to raise our son.
What do you like best about Drumheller? The people, they are so friendly.
If there were one thing you could change about Drumheller, what would it be? Tim Horton’s… Yes, I’ve read the paper but I won’t believe it until I see it.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Australia – I love the accent and the beaches look so beautiful.
Have you ever taken a life changing decision? Yes, when I quit my job of nine years and moved to Drumheller.
What do you do in your spare time? Race a stock car.
Your life’s best achievement? My son James.
What are your strengths? I am a people person.
Any weaknesses? Of course not… haha.
Any bad habits? Yes, but I’m  not telling.
Three words that best describe you? Reliable, upbeat, and crazy (in a good way).
What makes you happy? Spending time with my family at the race track, working on the car and winning races.
If you were granted three wishes from an angel or genie, what would they be? Good health, happiness, and prosperity for my friends and family.
If you could have one super power what would it be? Invisibility – this way I could always win hide 'n' seek when I play with my son.
If you could travel back in time and meet yourself as a 10 year old kid, what advice would you give yourself? Don’t be so serious….be a kid and have fun.
Words to live by? Don’t spend life worrying about the future….live for each day.

Who are you? Kate Oakley

Age: 22.

Job:Heritage interpreter.

Employer:Atlas Coal Mine.

What do you like about your job? Being able to be outside all day, except in this weather!

Where do you live?Right now, in Drumheller. Originally from Brighton, Ontario.

How long have you lived there?I came last summer and went back to Ontario to finish my tourism and travelling course at college. Then I was asked to come back to work at the Atlas Coal Mine, so here I am, and possibly here to stay!

What do you like best about Drumheller?There are so many things I like! Being so different from where I grew up, with its landscape and community.

If there were one thing you could change about Drumheller, what would it be?There needs to be a Tim Horton’s, it draws people together.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Anywhere? I have decided when I grow up, whenever that might be, I’ll be living in the Seychelles, because I like sandy beaches and hot weather.

What do you do in your spare time?When I am not watching Glee (I am a gleek), I take my dog for walks and find new places to go and discover. I found some old abandoned buildings recently in the Badlands. 

Your life’s best achievement? Being the only girl in an entire football league and winning the league MVP!

Have you ever taken a life changing decision? Yeah, coming out here to work. Normally, I am very reserved, but as soon as I came out here on my own, it opened lots of possibilities and I became more independent, I’m proud to say.

What are your strengths?Being able to get along with anybody, and that’s perfect for work, too.

Any weaknesses? Being a gleek! We didn’t have proper TV when I grew up. In Grade 12, we got satellite and that changed the world for me.

Three words that best describe you?Outgoing, friendly and fun!

What makes you happy?Watching Glee.

If you were granted three wishes from an angel or genie, what would they be?I’d like to get my whole family to watch Glee with me, they’d love the show. Being able to make a infinite amount of money so I can share it with everyone and getting an unlimited supply of 'chunky monkey' Ben and Jerry ice cream!

If you could have one super power what would it be?Having Wonder Woman’s invisible jet so I can go travelling the world.
