Who are you? Cam White

Age: 33.
Employer: Royal Tyrrell Museum.
Job title: Security Supervisor.
How long have you been living in Drumheller? 8 years.
Where are you from originally? Kamloops.
What do you do around town? I play bass for the Fire Coulee Bandits and play volleyball.
What are some of your top travel destinations? My girlfriend and I are planning on going to Hawaii and I’d really like to experience China.
If you could travel through time, where and when would you like to visit? A hundred years in the future to see what things are like.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring? Do you have power on this island? Well, you’d have to bring a generator with you separately. Then I would probably bring The Complete Calvin and Hobbes, because I could read them forever and not get bored of them. Definitely my girlfriend. Probably an axe to build shelter and survive.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do? I’d like to go to Disneyland with Dan Aykroyd.
Favourite movies? Ghostbusters.
In a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Owen Wilson.
What’s on your playlist these days? The new Blink 182 album, None More Black’s Icons, and the new Face to Face album.
Favourite video games? The original NES Mega Man games. For more modern stuff, Gears of War and the Resident Evil games. I’m huge into RPGs, especially the Final Fantasy and Dragonquest games.
What’s your favourite Halloween candy of all time? I really like Snickers. But it’s always a bonus to get the little jujubes, the Super Mario jujubes are awesome.
Any words of wisdom? “Treat others like how you want to be treated," “Back off, I’m a scientist,” and “May the force be with you.”

Employer: Christ the Redeemer School Division, St. Luke’s Outreach Centre.
Job title: Teacher.
How long have you been living in Drumheller? Two years.
Where are you from originally? Okotoks.
What do you like most about the valley? The people.
Anything you would change? I would make it bigger and have more restaurants.
What are some of your top travel destinations? I’d like to go to French Polynesia and also South America to experience that.   I think I’d like to go everywhere, but mostly hot destinations.
If you could travel through time, where and  when would you like to visit? The wild west.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring? My sister, her guitar, and the stuff to make pina coladas.
What three words would you use to describe you? Energetic, friendly, and outgoing.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do? I think I would go to a music festival with John Lennon.
What are some of your favourite movies? I love movies so it’s hard to narrow it down. But, I’d say Fried Green Tomatoes, Avatar, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
If you were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Kate Winslet.
What’s on your playlist these days? Lots of dubstep, Scrillex. I like mashes, so Girl Talk or Super Mash Bros.
It’s Thanksgiving soon, what are you looking forward to most? My birthday. It’s like a festival of my weekend and Thanksgiving.
Any words of wisdom? I think Winston Churchill said, and I truly believe this, to “never, never, never give up.”

Who are you? Brad Teske

Age: 41.
Employer: Drumheller Valley Secondary School.
Job title: Associate Principal.
How long have you been living in Drumheller? Nine years teaching, and two as Associate Principal.
Where are you from originally? Edmonton. Go Oilers!
What are some of your top travel destinations? Mexico, Hawaii, and Switzerland. I haven’t seen them yet. In Canada, I want to get out to the east coast.
If you could travel through time, where and when would you like to visit? I would go back to the mid-1800s to the wild west.
If you were stranded on a deserted island what three things would you bring (except a boat)? I’d have to say a bible for sure. That’s tough. My phone. Do I have service out there? We’ll assume you have service. Assuming there’s service, my phone. Also my family.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do? I’d have to say Martin Luther, and I’d go hang out in a pub with him.
What are some of your favourite movies? Lonesome Dove.
If you were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you?: Brad Pitt.
What’s on your playlist these days? I’ve got a whole range, from Christian music, top 40, to classic rock. Aerosmith, AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses, they’re on my playlist for sure.
Any words of wisdom? It’s about everyday life: “If you don’t take the time to stop and look, you might miss it.”
