Who are you? Bonnie Courtenay

Age: Almost 16.
Occupation: Student.
What grade are you in? Grade 11.
Where do you go to school? Drumheller Valley Secondary School.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Ha ha, funny, embarrassing, and happy.
How long have you been living in the Valley? I’ve been living here for about 10 months.
Where are you from originally? Delia.
What do you like most about the Valley? The dinosaurs!
Anything you would change? No. Nothing really? More shopping, we need some teen stores.
What are some of your top travel destinations? Miami, Hawaii, and Italy.
If you could travel through time, where and when would you like to visit? Back about five years ago to when my grandpa was still living.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring? Pepsi, my cellphone, and my iPod.
Choose one things to eat for the rest of your life. Umm, Kraft Dinner.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do? Jason Moreau, he played with the Penguins during pre-season. Probably play air hockey or foosball.
What’s on your playlist these days? Justin Bieber, Hedley, Asking Alexandra, and Hawk Nelson.
If you had your own band, what instruments would you like to play? Ha ha, um, lead singer.
What are some of your favourite tv shows and movies? Secret Circle, Vampire Diaries, and Gilmore Girls.
If you were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Carrie Underwood.
What are your favourite sports to play or watch? I like playing basketball, volleyball, badminton, and I love to watch hockey.
Who are your favourite teams? It’s a tie between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Tampa Bay Lightning. They have really good players like Sidney Crosby and Vincent Lecavalier.
Words of wisdom? Live life to the fullest and don’t let go of your dreams.


Who are you? Guy Latour

Age: 43.
Employer: Town of Drumheller.
Job title: Business Manager.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Driven, empathetic, and caring.
How long have you been living in the valley? Two months.
Where are you from originally? Calgary, but I've lived all over Canada - in the Northwest Territories for five years, then in Quebec while working in Ottawa, and back to Calgary five years ago.
What do you like most about the valley? I love smaller towns and slower pace.
Anything you would change? More trees, although there’s a fair bit in the valley.
What are some of your top travel destinations? Holland, that’s where some of my family is from. Very much interested in going to India. I’m Buddhist, and that’s its birthplace. And I think New Zealand.
If you could travel through time, where and  when would you like to visit? I would go see the enlightenment of the Buddha.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring? My wife, my iPod, and eReader. This is all technical stuff, it sounds bad.
Choose one thing to eat for the rest of your life? Before I went vegetarian, I would have said hamburgers. Um, Kraft Dinner. I think I could eat that for the rest of my life.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do? The Buddha, Gandhi, and Thich Nhat Hanh, and find enlightenment.
What’s on your playlist these days? Mumford and Sons, and a guy from the east coast who’s a blues jazzy kind.
If you had your own band, what instruments would you like to play? Lead guitar.
What are some of your favourite tv shows and movies? Whale Wars and Big Bang Theory. I don’t watch a lot of tv. I’m totally the superhero movie guy. I have a cousin who plays in the NHL, so I watch a lot of hockey.
If you were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Russell Crowe, but he’s not quite big enough though. Ron Pearlman, he’s a big guy.
What are your favourite sports to play or watch? Hockey and football. I used to play university football for the U of C.
Words of wisdom? Never judge anybody until you walk a mile in their shoes, or moccasins, as the saying goes.

Age: 26.

Job title: Gallery Experience Officer.
What three words would you use to describe yourself? Tall, taller, tallest.
How long have you been living in Drumheller? 4 1/2 years.
What do you like most about the valley? Winter, because it’s coming.
Anything you would change? Vertical stripes on valley cliffs to make it look slimmer.
What are some of your top travel destinations? Costa Rica, and Mars.
If you could travel through time, where and  when would you like to visit? 2015, Back to the Future makes it look awesome.
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you bring? Three grizzly bears that are angry at me to make it more of a challenge.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be and what would you do?  Douglas Adams. I’d make him talk to me.
If you were making a movie about your life, who would you want to play the part of you? Sean Connery.
What’s on your playlist these days? Ricky Gervais Show podcast.
What are some of your favourite games? Dwarf Fortress, Mass Effect 2, and Shadow of the Colossus.
What are some of the movies that have terrified you the most? Pan’s Labyrinth.
Any ideas for a Halloween costume? Renaissance plague doctor.
What are your favourite Halloween treats? Not raisins.
