Who Are You? Keith Lee

Age: Older than most people think I am, 49.
Employer: Alberta Health Services.
Occupation: Public Health Inspector.
Where are you from originally? Richmond.
How long have you lived in Drumheller? I moved here in 1984, but I was away between 1987 and 1990. So about 22 consecutive years.
What brought you to Drumheller? I always tell people my Volkswagon Beetle couldn’t make it up the hill and I got stuck here, but it was work.
What do you like most about living here? The people. I get along well with everyone. The scenery is nice, but it could be closer to the mountains.
Is there anywhere you want to travel? I wouldn’t mind getting out to some major ski hills. I’d go to Tahoe again, Jackson, and Colorado for some skiing.
What’s the coolest place you’ve been to? Disneyland.
What three things would you take to a deserted island? Chocolate for sure, probably some Captain Morgans, and something to keep me occupied, like an iPhone or iPad.
What do you do around the community? I play volleyball, slo-pitch, badminton, and pretty much any sporting activity.
Favourite sports? Slo-pitch and skiing are my two favourites now.
What’s one thing you could eat for the rest of your life? Chocolate bars of some kind. I don’t have a preference, it depends on my mood. Sometimes you want nutty and chewy, salted, or straight chocolate.
Favourite movies/TV shows? Lord of the Rings and the Bourne series. For TV Once Upon a Time, but most of the stuff I watch is older, like Seinfeld. Other than that, sports or news.
What’s on your playlist? My favourite band is Yes. I like Genesis as well. I enjoy listening to a wide range of music.
What superpower would you want? Invisibility.
Any words of wisdom? Do what you love and love what you do.


Who Are You? Brennan Baxandall

Age: 20.
Occupation: Captain of the Drumheller Dragons.
How did you get into hockey? It was just one of those things I grew up around. I started playing when I was about 5 and always stuck with it.
How many years have you been with the Dragons? Three years.
That’s a long time. As a player, it’s a nice feeling to be able to stick with a franchise. I feel like I know the town and a lot of the locals. It’s nice to came back to a place and call it my second home.
Where are you from originally? Calgary.
What do you like most about Drumheller? The landscape and it’s a friendly town.
How are you feeling about the season so far? I’m really excited. There have been some big changes. It looks like we’re going to be a contender and a team people are going to take seriously.
Any travel destinations in mind? I’d like to go to Dubai. I’ve see shows about Dubai and all its buildings. I thought it’d be pretty cool to visit there.
If you could hang out with anyone, who would it be? I think hanging out with Tim McGraw would be pretty cool.
What is your memorable childhood toy? Maybe my tricycle. I used to whip around on that a lot.
Choose one thing to eat for the rest of your life: Steak, medium rare, and perogies.
Any favourite movies/TV shows? Wedding Crashers and Casino Royale. I’ve always liked James Bond. I’m really into the show Revenge and Lost.
Any hobbies? Pretty much hockey. I like to play golf in the summer.
Playing any video games? NHL 13 and Call of Duty.
Are there any other sports you like to play or watch? I like playing beach volleyball. I watch baseball and football. I basically watch a bit of everything.
Any words of wisdom? Have dreams and work as hard as you can to reach them.

Who Are You? Tanya Chatton

Age: 26.
Employer: Bold Efexx Hair Shop.
Occupations: Hair Stylist.
What do you like most about your job? Meeting new people.
What would be your dream job? I would love to do more of the aesthetics part.
How long have you lived in Drumheller? About a year.
Where are you from originally? Rocky Mountain House.
What’s your favourite part about Drumheller? The dirt bike track.
What are some of your top travel destinations? Australia, Egypt, Europe, and California.
If you could travel through time, when and where would you like to visit? I love the medieval times. I love watching things like The Tudors.
Do you have any hobbies? I’m constantly at the dirt bike track, so that’s the biggest one in the summer. I also volunteer to help out at the races. That’s pretty much all I’ve done.
Things might change when the winter sets in. Yeah, I’m not looking forward to that. A lot of work needs to be done on the bike anyway.
Choose one thing you could eat for the rest of your life: Pasta. I love fettuccine.
Favourite movies? Amelie, it’s a French movie. I love it. It’s a goofy story about love.
In the movie about your life, who would you want to play you? Scarlett Johanson.
What is your theme song? I’d have to say something like Headstrong.
Favourite books? I like the James Clemens series The Banned and the Banished. It’s about witches, dragons, and fantasy.
What would you do with $1 million? It doesn’t get you very far any more. Pay off my debt and put the rest in savings.
One piece of technology you could not live without? Access to internet. I’m lost without it.
What superpower would you want? I’d want to fly. I wouldn’t have to pay for an airplane.
Any words of wisdom? Always take time for yourself.
