Who Are You? Melissa Dionisio

Age: 24.
Occupation: Grade 6 teacher. I feel like it’s the grade I’m most compatible with.
Employer: St. Anthony’s School.
How long have you lived in Drumheller? I just moved here in September.
Where are you from originally? Toronto.
What do you like most about Drumheller so far?  It’s a friendly community and everyone is very welcoming.
Anything you would change? I’d have a coffee shop that would be open late.
Any travel destinations in mind? Definitely Thailand, Australia, and a full Euro trip.
What three things would you bring to a deserted island? A camera, a good book to read, and an iPod.
If you could travel through time, when and where would you go? I would love to go back to medieval times and wear the big fancy dresses.
What piece of future technology would you most want? A teleporter, it would make it so much easier to travel.
What is one thing you could eat for the rest of your life? Pineapples.
Favourite movies? Inception is really good, I watched it four times. For a girly movie, The Notebook.
What would be your theme song? “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. I listen to that song all the time.
What would you do with $1 million? I’d disperse it among family and friends, and donate to charity. I’d rather help out as much as possible.
Favourite books? Any book by Nicolas Sparks.
Do you play any sports? I played soccer and volleyball competitively for a long time.
Skiing or snowboarding? Snowboarding.
What superpower would you want? Invisibility.
Any New Years Resolutions this year? Continue to work hard and grow.
Any words of wisdom? Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success.


Who Are You? Brodie Jamieson

Age: 20.
Position: Forward.
Team: Drumheller Dragons.
What’s next after the AJHL? It’s coming up quickly, hopefully going to the NCAA and playing in the States.
Where are you from originally? North Vancouver.
How long have you been in Drumheller? I’ve bee here since about December last year.
What do you like most about Drumheller so far? I’d say my billets, it’s a good environment, and a tight community. I’ve noticed a lot of people coming up to me and saying how excited they are about the games.
Any travel destinations in mind? Australia. I have a few friends that have travelled there.
What you do for fun when not at a game or practicing? I’d say TV shows and usually more board games than XBox.
Any particular board games? The Game of Things.
What’s one thing you could eat for the rest of your life? Steak.
Favourite movies or TV shows? Entourage and Revenge.
What would be your theme song? Something by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, nothing specific. Or, maybe “Another One Bites the Dust.”
Any favourite video games? If I do play XBox it’s usually NHL 2012 or Mario Kart.
Any other favourite sports other than hockey? Golf.
Any teams you cheer for? Red Wings.
Skiing or snowboarding? It doesn’t happen very often, but skiing.
What would you do with $1 million? I’d probably buy a house and then invest the rest.
What superpower would you want? I’d want two of me. I could multiple things at once. One of me could be practicing and the other could be hanging out.
Any words of wisdom? Always work your hardest and never give up.

Who Are You? Dylan Poulsen

Age: 18.
Employer: Badlands Community Facility.
Occupation: Activity specialist, but I do a little of everything.
Dream job? Telecommunicaitons engineer. It’s a fast-paced field and you don’t just work in an office. You can work outside or anywhere in the world.
How long have you lived in Drumheller? Over ten years.
Where are you from originally? Fort McMurray.
What do you like most about Drumheller? The sense of community. It’s a small enough town that people know your name, but big enough you can meet new people who come from all over the world.
Any travel destinations in mind? I’d really like to go to Australia.
What’s the coolest place you’ve been to? The Columbia Icefields was really cool. We went in the summer, but it was so cold next to the glacier I had to put a jacket on.
If you could travel through time, when and where would you go? Probably the 1950’s.
Who would you like to hang out with? Probably Obama. He’d be a cool guy to sit down and talk with.
Favourite Christmas dish? My mom makes a family dish of sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top.
What is your most memorable childhood toy? I had a little excavator. They were building a subdivision next to our house and my mom took me over. One of the operators gave me a ride in the same kind of excavator I had.
Favourite Christmas movie? National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
Favourite games? Call of Duty Black Ops 2.
What’s on your playlist? Mostly top 40 stuff, but I also listen to the oldies, like Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, AC/DC, and U2.
What superpower would you want? Teleportation. You’d think “power’s out, it’s cold. I’ll just teleport to somewhere warm.”
