Dragons take 2-0 lead in playoff series against the Grizzlys after 8-1 win Thursday night

The chant of “Lets Go Dragons” rang out in the Drumheller Memorial Arena Thursday night as the Dragons took on the Olds Grizzlys in game two of round one of the playoffs.
The Dragons scored six goals in the first period. Wyatt Noskey and Jarell Pinchuk scored within the first two minutes of play. Dakota Zaharichuk and Scott Ivey made it 4-0, before Hunter Mills scored two back-to-back goals to make it 6-0 Drumheller.
Olds scored early in the second to put the away team on the board, but Reid Nemeth and a second goal from Pinchuk secured the Dragons a 8-1 win for game two. There was no scoring in the third period.
The Dragons now have Friday night off before they head to Olds Saturday to play game three in the best of five series. Game time at Olds Sportsplex is 7 p.m. Any fans interested in attending the game in Olds are encouraged to contact the Grizzlys ticket office and reserve their tickets in advance.
If necessary, game four would take place Sunday night in Olds and game five would take place Wednesday night in Drumheller.
