A local pool player has notched up another impressive win in his professional career.
Rosedale’s Shawn Bulechowsky faced some tough competition but brought his “A” game to win first place in the Joseph “Indian Joe” Big Plume 8-Ball Classic at the Grey Eagle Casino and resort in Calgary.
Bulechowsky played at the tournament in February, coming away with not only the new distinction, but a nice piece of hardware, a winners jacket, and a cool thousand dollars.
“To win the final match, I had to be knocked out twice,” Bulechowsky explains.
Bulechowsky lost a game to be knocked to the B side
    Then it was Game on.
The local professional dominated the opposition by winning all his matches to play in the mens division final game.
The two opponents had to plsy four matches to take the winner’s trophy, and Bulechowsky limited his opponent to one shot over the four play off games in the Big Plume Classic.
Big Plume was a member of Alberta’s Tsuu T’ina nation, and passed away in 2004 at the age of 76. He earned many impressive accomplishments over the course of his professional pool career.
Bulechowsky has also marked an impressive milestone in his professional career.
His eight-ball pool skills earned him the distinction  of now being called a “Calgary Master” pool player.
Bulechowsky earned the new title at last year’s pool play offs in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As a member of the Blurred Vision team , Winners of the BCA Drumheller Pool League 2015 tournament, Bulechowky will be making another trip to the pool playoffs in Las Vegas, this year scheduled to begin July 28.
