It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mark Notland after a short and bitter battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by brother Dennis (Deanna) Notland, nephews Darcy (Carissa) Notland, Curt (Abby), Taylor, Colby Notland, sister Sandra (Dale) Radke, nephews Dean (Lynda), Dylan, Ty, Ava Radke, Jay, Nash Radke, Neal Radke, sister Janet Notland. Mark was predeceased by his father Alvin and mother Esther in 1997. He will be greatly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, staff at the SEARS store and many numerous friends, customers and business acquaintances from over the years. Mark farmed in the Morrin District with his father and mother until they retired and moved to Drumheller in 1987. He proceeded to work at John Deere and helped Dennis with harvesting for a few years following this. Mark then worked for Traders Furniture, Custom Audio, and The Brick in Drumheller for a number of years before he purchased the SEARS store and became the owner operator of that business for 12 years, up until his passing. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at the Badlands Community Facility, 80 Veterans Way, Drumheller, AB T0J 0Y0 on Thursday April 10, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Wayne McCrackin officiating.
