The Winter Wonderland Christmas Party, hosted by the Badlands Community Facility Fundraising Cabinet is coming up on Saturday, December 13. The Badlands Community Facility Fundraising Cabinet is adding some warmth to winter to spread Christmas cheer.
Saturday, December 13 the Badlands Community Facility will be transformed into a winter wonderland. The Cabinet are hosting a gala evening of fine food, live music, dancing and fun.
Member of the Cabinet Kim Suntjens says the idea of the Winter Wonderland Christmas Party is a great chance to have a night out with friends to celebrate the season. It springboards off events like the Diamond Dinner but is more inclusive.
Barb Lubinski, also in the Cabinet, says it is also a great chance for companies to host their Christmas party.
“I was making a decision on my staff party for Western Chev and there wasn’t that much, so we said let’s dive into it!” she said. “But even for groups of friends, it is great.”
It is also an evening to get glitzed up a bit. While not exclusively a formal event, it is a chance to enjoy an evening of finery.
“It is going to be nicely decorated, look really nice when you come in. There will be great food and great prizes,” said Suntjens.
On stage will be Back Road Traveler providing the music.
“They play country and classic rock, which is perfect. The majority of people like that to dance to when you have a mixed crowd, so that is awesome,” said Lubinski.
The event will include a silent auction and raffles to raise funds for the BCF.
“The silent auction will have lots of items, which are appropriate for gift giving if you haven’t done your shopping,” said Lubinski.
