“Dino Den” down to six finalists

Mayor Terry Yemen has announced that six different businesses are the finalists in the Town of Drumheller’s “Dino Den” contest.
    The contest was open to  residents wishing to present businesses ideas to the Town, with the criteria being they opened a business in the Drumheller municipality.
    The contest began in January and closed March 31.
    The six people whose ideas are moving forward have been notified and will be making their business presentations in May to the “Dino Den” partners.
    The partners will then select the “Dino Den” winner after the presentations.
    Dino Den partners are the Town of Drumheller, Community Futures, Chinook Credit Union, the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce, and Drum FM.
    Three of the partners each contributed a thousand dollar prize for the winning business proposal - the Town, Community Futures and the Chamber.
    In addition to cash, the Town will provide a one year business licence, the Chamber of Commerce will provide a one year membership, Drum FM will offer a thousand dollars in advertising, and the Chinook Credit Union is supplying enhanced banking.
    Mayor Yemen said the businesses proposed by the Dino Den contestants will enhance the valley.
