Who are you? Kathryn Hunter

Age: 25.

Employer: Self employed.

Occupation: Hair stylist. I have my own salon at home. I’m going to school for photography.

What got you interested in photography? It coincides with what I do with hair. I do a lot of weddings and I found that when I did the hair, sometimes the photographer didn’t do my work justice. I want to do the photography side of things as well.

How long have you lived in the Valley? Since May.

Where are you from originally? Carbon, but we moved from Strathmore.

What do you like most about living here? The small town feel. People will say hi to you on the street. You don’t get that in larger cities.

Anything you would change? The dust. I’m forever cleaning.

What are some of your top travel destinations? I would love to go to Fiji. I love the beaches, I’m all about the sand and the sun. I’ve been to Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

If you could travel through time, when would you visit? The late 1950’s. I like the style of that time.

What three things would you bring to a deserted island (excluding family)? Lip chap, toothbrush, and a cell phone.

What is one thing you could eat for the rest of your life? Chocolate.

Most memorable childhood toy? Light Bright.

Favourite movies/TV shows: Grey’s Anatomy and Dumb and Dumber.

What would be your theme song? Eye of the Tiger.

What superpower would you want? To freeze time just so I could stop and enjoy my kids at that exact moment.

Any words of wisdom? Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away.
